Walter is the founder and programming co-ordinator for the Toronto Cartoonists Workshop.  A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, he is the recipient of the Eric Freifeld Award for Figurative Draughtsmanship.  His published comic book work includes Frecklebean Comics and Stories and Locus Magazine.  He has studied with Ty Templeton at the Toronto Cartoonists Workshop and has taught cartooning workshops for children and teens at the Lambton Gallery in Sarnia and the Cottingham Public School in Toronto.  In addition to his work as a cartoonist and fine artist he has done storyboards for film including the Disney TV movie Cheetah Girls.
